Comedy Event Wednesday, December 5th
Featured Artist Caroline Picard, The Cajun Queen

When
Caroline Picard hits the stage
with her signature red boots, her audience has about six seconds to get on her
wavelength. Caroline lets them know right away that they are about to experience
something really refreshing - a real person that is comfortable with her beliefs
and has no problem making you laugh at them. Once Caroline is on stage it's crystal
clear that you have come to the house of The Queen and you will play
by her rules. Her "don't
give a damn" attitude is revitalizing, especially in the world of female
comedy. Her style is all her own and can be compared to no one. If you want politically
correct, do not come to her show, but if you want the truth, come on in, grab
a drink and enjoy the ride! Caroline
Talks About Her Show "I
know that everyone in that showroom works damn hard for their money. When they
come to see my show, they expect and deserve a show!
I like my show to feel like a rock concert! The generation I come from loved those
hard hitting, slam the guitar down, hard drinking fun concerts. It's my mission
to make people in my generation remember what they did and the fun they had. Just
because we hit 50 it doesn't mean we have to lie down and die, HELL NO! And maybe
we can give the younger folks in the crowd a glimpse of where mom and dad came
from. For the first time
in history, baby boomers out number the youth of America. I think it's time we
take our country back. No more 'time-outs' for the little darlings. A slap on
the back of the head is what they need so we can put some sense back into their
brains. Hell, there's not a person from my generation that doesn't have a head
injury".

Our Featured Artist Robert
L. MungleStand-Up
Comic I
am Robert
L. Mungle by God! And you will know me from my trail of slightly amused hillbillies!
I am a stand-up comic and bringer of ancient and obscure wisdom. I have little
or no time for small minded reactionaries, however I love to hear them argue among
themselves. I love science but hate math. Love Penthouse but hate Hustler. I realize
there is beauty in religon but not much usefulness. While I see the need for children
as an evolutionary imperative, I truly can't stand them.
Robert
L. Mungle's Interests General I enjoy lectures on physics, post modern
jazz, and girl on girl porn. (ONLY TWO OF THESE ARE TRUE! GUESS WHICH) Music
I like Public Enemy and Conway Twitty played at the same time Movies Anything
with Simon Wells. He is a triumph! Television The ABC morning chat fest
"The View", is second only to slavery, as among the greatest human rights
violations the United States has visted upon itself and it's citizens. I also
like NOVA Books "How to Bang 100 Chicks in 100 days Using MySpace.com"
by Dr. Theopolius Tolbert Heroes Is a show with a disapointing season
finale. MySpace

Marlena &
maybe some friends!Stand-Up
/ Alternative / Musical Comedy
Marlena
grew up in Newberg, Oregon and wanted to be a ballerina. After many years of lessons
she basically learned to fall down gracefully. In High School she wanted to be
a flight attendant, but back then they had height requirements. In 2002 she discovered
quite by accident that she loved making people laugh. While working in a comedy
club in Houston, Texas a comedienne went on stage and was shockingly dirty. Marlena
told the owner she could do that and be clever and clean. He gave her 30 days
to prepare 5 minutes. People laughed and she has been hooked every since to the
sound of laughter. In 2004 The Houston Chronicle featured her and 2 other comedians
in an article describing how tough it is to climb the ladder in the comedy world.
She has opened for performers such as Dwight Slade, Jack Mayberry, Big Ed, Danny
Martinez, Chris Strait, Tommy Drake, Darryl Rhodes, John Evans and many more.
I
entered the famecast contest. and I would love for everyone to come check it out
and vote! I am currently ranked 21 out of 246. Help me hang in there for this
first round. Voting ends Sept 21st. myspace.com/marlenacomedienne
