Chris Crump
Hey
what's up? My name is Chris and I have been playing music in front of people since
I was seven. I started writing my own songs when I was 16 and I have not stopped
yet. If you have dropped by Bojangles before and seen me play you have probably
heard my songs. Hope you liked em a little. I am working on finishing my cd "like
everyone else", so hopefully it will be out soon. Thanks for taking time
to listen to new things and not just what the radio pounds in our heads over and
over. Hope to see you around.
Marlena
grew up in Newberg, Oregon and wanted to be a ballerina. After many years of lessons
she basically learned to fall down gracefully. In High School she wanted to be
a flight attendant, but back then they had height requirements. In 2002 she discovered
quite by accident that she loved making people laugh. While working in a comedy
club in Houston, Texas a comedienne went on stage and was shockingly dirty. Marlena
told the owner she could do that and be clever and clean. He gave her 30 days
to prepare 5 minutes. People laughed and she has been hooked every since to the
sound of laughter. In 2004 The Houston Chronicle featured her and 2 other comedians
in an article describing how tough it is to climb the ladder in the comedy world.
She has opened for performers such as Dwight Slade, Jack Mayberry, Big Ed, Danny
Martinez, Chris Strait, Tommy Drake, Darryl Rhodes, John Evans and many more.
I entered the famecast contest.
and I would love for everyone to come check it out and vote! I am currently ranked
21 out of 246. Help me hang in there for this first round. Voting ends Sept 21st.

so he could "learn to play the blues". He owns a recording business
and is currently working on several projects. He resided on the island of
Oahu, Hawaii for many years. There he performed at various establishments and
private events. As a hobby he burns pictures onto wood focusing the sun's rays

Born
from the great mind of Earl Wang and the production of drummer/manager/engineer
Chris Folmer, Roofy Snow is a new sound with influences from Rock, Funk, Blues,
and Jazz. This project began with just Chris and Earl making tunes on the keyboard
and a drum machine. After creating over 20 songs they decided to bring in
some guitars (Kevin Dobkins and Ryan Mason), a bass (Robbie Diamond), and real
drums. Now Roofy Snow is a powerhouse sound with funky beats, driving melodies,
and a unique voice like none other.
The name Roofy
Snow is described by Earl as being a nickname for Roofus Snow, a fictional
character he created. It is though, not related to sexually advancing drugs (just
to clear things up).
Chris
Bowie is influenced by: Earth tones, Magic, Hendrix, Carlos Gwain, Kurt Cobain,
Freedom, Heartache, Buddy Guy, Adam Burchfield, SM-3, and other good vibrations...
Rassy Ras is influenced
by: Billy Cox, Hendrix, Miles Davis, Smashing Pumpkins, Bob Marley, Al Green,
Nirvana, Thomas Rusiak, All the Hip- Hop Nation, Waynestein ...
Merlin
Coryell is influenced by: Drummers/Percussionists: Neil Peart, Carter Beauford,
Mike Portnoy, Simon Phillips, Brian Coryell, Bobby Rock, Terry Bozzio, Dennis
Chambers, Brian Coryell...
Carrie Ann
Buchanan is one of Houston's premiere singer/songwriters. Her eclectic style is
a mixture of influences from Paul Simon to Carole King...from Ani DeFranco to
Dolly Parton...with a hint of Ozzy Osborne. Her songwriting is honest and compelling
and her melodies will wrap themselves up in your head so you'll be singing them
for days after catching a performance. An accomplished guitar player, Carrie Ann
is a treat performing solo or with her band, The Apocalyptics. This mix match
conglomeration of ages and body types includes some of Houston's most regarded
players on instruments as diverse as guitar, bass, violin, percussion, accordion,
dobro, and mandolin. Carrie Ann is extremely versatile and can fit most any venue.
The Birth of a Band Carrie Ann Buchanan is the one
resposible for this mess. By an amazing twist of fate, Carrie Ann ran into Gary
Clark, a young whippersnapper with the work ethic of a Clydesdale and nine fingers
just itching to make some beautiful music on his dobro. In an equally amazing
twist of fate, he ran into long time friends the Jackson's, Jimb and Suebob. Ever
since the day she ran the postman out of Height's Guitar with her unending appetite
for accordion music, the lovely and talented Susan Jackson has been looking for
a band that needed an accordion and would cover the you-done-me-wrong anthem "Delta
Dawn". It seems that time has come. Jimb Jackson has a rock n roll history
that you just can't believe until you hear him play. Though he mainly plays bass
with the Apocalyptics, he is also an amazing guitarist. You can see more of that
when you see him with Beans Barton and the Bi-Peds, along with his lovely wife,

A
Bubble in the Sun
Rock / Acoustic / Nu-Jazz
and yet, this hand became a dance of illusions who sought
to be a bubble in the sun to keep what's real only in the mind to ultimately disperse
the selfish drama from which the world revolves around. With soulful fat bass
riffs dreamt by Diamond, hammered power lines of Mason, pulsing heart beats from
Medve, and the twisted tongue of Manson this quartet grounded to the atmosphere
pursue a destination headed straight past the eyes into the spirit for the sake
of changing what can be and pushing what should be left alone.
we
are a band formed in spring,TX. we are three of the best musicians in are age
group. Cody Wilson is keys and bass. hes a accomplished piano player and has received
musical education from some of the finest institutes in the southeast Texas area.
next is Steven doneske who plays keys, vocals, bass and guitar. has been playing
live since the age of 10 and is currently a music teacher. and last is sam hornik
who has been a musician since a very young age and has played different instruments
all through his school years. when we write are songs we don't try to play anytime
of music we play what we want some times it will be jazz then it will be hard
rock and we will even mix them at times. i feel the best way to describe us is
progressive jazz rock fusion. we play a great mix of songs and also have a great
following. we are currently playing every where from Austin to Galveston and getting
new shows all the time.

Nathan
Taylor
Solo Singer/Songwriter/Guitarist looking for venues around Houston
Texas
Nathan
Taylor grew up singing with his brother and dad in church and performing in
high school choir. Later on, while in art school in Colorado, Nathan started auditioning
for bands around the Denver area. Finally after moving back to his home town of
Amarillo, Tx. in 94, he worked to put together a band.
The
band Copper played venues in and around the Amarillo area, performing covers,
originals and growing a solid fan base. Copper went through several line up changes
and eventually became the short lived band, 3 Pound Cock. Not being able to book
many shows under the new name quickly became a problem.
Nathan
soon started learning guitar to write and perform his own music. It didn't take
long before he was consistantly booking solo gigs. He spent several years playing
acoustic shows and putting together the band TALL with a revolving cast of musicians.
Nathan Taylor and TALL played and toured Texas, New Mexico and Colorado, and in
2001 recorded Nathan's first all original CD "After All This Time".
He also released two live CD's "04.27.03, Live @ Coconutz" and "The
Nathan And Beau Sheau, 04.27.03, Live Vol. Dos" and continued playing solo
and band shows with TALL.
After years of playing his own music
and developing his writing and guitar skills, Nathan started being approached
to play as a side musician. He joined the progressive metal band HINGED, under
the name Spot Mescalero(playing guitar, singing and writing), and within two weeks
they were opening for STARGUNN from Los Angeles (Shooter Jennings' rock band).
In 2004 HINGED released thier original CD "Stereo Sinner" and played
a string of very successful shows. Along with members of TALL, HINGED, and RED
CELL, Nathan helped form FIGERBANGMISFIRE later that year and recorded the smash
Punk album "Dildos To Mars". In 2005 Nathan moved to Lubbock, Tx.
and started back on the solo path. Playing open mics and smaller gigs led to meeting
and joining The SHANE ROGERS BAND, touring Texas playing Acoustic, Electric, Mandolin,
Harmonica, Dobro and singing Background Vocals. They even had several songs work
thier way onto the Texas Country and internet charts, and played Willie Nelsons
4th of July Pre Party.
In December of 2006 Nathan moved to
Rosenberg, Tx. just southwest of Houston. He is currently working on new material
and trying to put together another original project using his songs. He still
tours with the SHANE ROGERS BAND when he can, and hopes to be recording a new
CD of his originals this year and touring.
