Don started playing guitar in 1962 after 8 years of organized music playing the french horn. From 1966 to 1969 he played in an Air Force Band spending 3 years in Germany. Returning from Germany he used his experience from 2 years on a music scholarship at The University of Houston to start playing keyboards as well as Guitar. Some of those groups included Hot Cinnamon, East River, Universe w/ Wayne Shannon, Chelsea Station and several others. When he finally returned to Houston in 1985 he formed his own band "The Don Sharkey Band" and for years was one of the best bands playing on the west side of town. Don first played with Bob and "Legacy" in 1975 and over the years has played in several reincarnations of this group. Along the way Don has played in several country music groups including Del Rio and Posse. His first love however is classic rock & roll. Sound has always been a big part of any endeavor and that is why he formed "Sharkey Sound and lights" several years ago and explains the extensive set ups that Legacy always does. Live music must always have a "Concert Feel" is how he approaches every venue. Doing sound for national acts is what drives him to make Legacy a great act both visually and musically. Don's musical talent and knowledge of his craft make him a integral part of any project he is associated with.

Gregg - Guitar & Vocals
Gregg began playing guitar at age 10 when his grandmother allowed him to play on her 1950 Gibson Flat Top. Pulling this guitar from its snakeskin case always put a smile on his face! By the time he was thirteen he bought his first electric guitar and taught himself how to play mostly by ear. During middle school and high school Gregg played the trumpet and was in the concert and jazz bands spending most of this time in first chair. It was during his school years that Gregg also became a novice drummer. While in college Gregg studied classical guitar for a few semesters but never lost his passion for playing rock and roll. During his college years, Gregg played with numerous garage bands in his home state of Missouri and began expanding his repertoire of songs while developing his own style. In the time of spandex and mullets AKA the 80's, he moved to Denver, Colorado to attend the Colorado Institute of Art's Music and Video Business School. During his time in Colorado, Gregg continued working on his chops and played with several different groups that were seeking national recording contracts. It was during this time that he emerged as a prominent lead singer. After graduating college, Gregg worked on several foreign projects (as he never quit his day job) and continued to play music as a hobby. This led to musical performances in Bangkok, Thailand as well as a large scale music festival in the former Soviet republic of Uzbekistan that was featured on Uzbek national television. After being out of the music scene for several years, Gregg met Don and eventually was invited to join Legacy. Gregg's tenor voice and love for classic rock have helped shape the current Legacy sound. Happy to be a part of a great group, Gregg plays lead and rhythm guitar, sings lead and back ground vocals and helps Don with all of his wonderful sound gear!
