Our forefathers, Hooker, Muddy, Gatemouth, Charlie Daniels, Marshall Tucker, Willie, Waylon, Hendrix, Stevie, Santana, etc., etc., were not bound by categories. They pushed the envelope and continuously strived to expand their musical horizons. Many of todays artists continue in that tradition and the Strahan Band is one of them. That is our obligation to music and to music lovers. That is what keeps it alive and refreshing. That is what makes it "art." We have to retain the roots and basis of the things we learned while still pushing down the fences that try to hold it in. We respect the "purists" but hail the new renegades like Bonamassa, Los Lonely Boys, Robert Randolph. The Strahan band fits right in there and will continue to push for the progression of music. The Strahan Band's latest CD "Red Dirt Blues" was released on September 1, 2006 and is a perfect example of tearing down the fences.. The CD is now available at CDBaby.com, CDMojo.com, and BandVillage.com. Digital downloads are are available at Itunes, Rhapsody, Sony, EMusic, and other download sites. Hurry up and get some! "Red
Dirt Blues" - - Where hard driving Texas Blues, cruising in a 92 Caddy "low
rider" collided with an Outlaw Country frieght train. The dirt, debris, fire
and smoke created a huge Rock 'n Roll mushroom cloud. All survived but it was
crazy! Instrumentation Jeff
